OUR WINERY:

Cathiard Vineyard is looking for qualified candidates to join our cellar team in the beautiful Napa Valley! Localed at the base of the Mayacamas Mountain range in the St. Helena AVA, Cathiard Vineyard is home to over 58 acres of Bordeaux varietals, new and innovative processing technology and tanks, and a sprawling wine cave and working area. The winery is French owned and operated by the proprietors of Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte and includes an international team of employees willing to assist and teach you about the intricate process of producing high quality and well renowned wines!

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Rackings and transfers of juice and wine
Inoculations/additions to juice and wine
Pumpover/punch down of red ferments
Operating crush equipment and presses
Draining and pressing of tanks, including shoveling pomace
Sanitation and cleaning processes
Forklift Operation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

White performing the duties of this job, the employee is on their feet most of the day watching
Walk on uneven surfaces inside and outside
Stand, squat, stoop, bend at waist and legs
Ability to lift and move 60 lbs
Use hands, fingers, reach, touch, see, hear, smell
Winery operations: exposed to occasional noisy equipment, indoor and outdoor conditions

Bac+2 (BTS,BTSA,DUT,DEUG, DUEST)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience not required but a plus
Candidates must have strong communication skills
Must be able to work long hours, up to 6 days a week with shifts often exceeding 10 hours throughout the harvest season
Must be able to work from the beginning of September to December.
Experience with forklift operations is a plus. Forklift certification training will be provided
Must have valid driver's license
