Are you passionate about wine and fine dining?

As a Sommelier, you will be part of a highly professional front-of-house team and will play a key role in creating an exceptional dining experience through your knowledge, selection, and service of wines and other beverages.

We are looking for someone with a genuine passion for wine, strong gastronomic awareness, excellent communication skills, and a clear guest-oriented approach. You should also be able to work with precision and discretion in a demanding fine-dining environment.

• Advise guests and customers on wine and beverage selections according to their preferences and the restaurant's gastronomic offering.
• Present the wine list and provide personalized recommendations.
• Perform wine service according to fine-dining standards.
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of the wine list, including references, regions, grape varieties, producers, and vintages.
• Stay up to date with wine trends, emerging producers, and relevant new references.
• Collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to create appropriate wine and food pairings.
• Participate in the development and updating of the restaurant's wine and beverage offering.
• Ensure the correct storage, conservation, and organization of wines.
• Monitor stock levels, inventories, and product rotation.
• Assist with the receiving, checking, and correct storage of wine deliveries.
• Ensure that wines are stored at the appropriate temperatures and under suitable conditions.
• Support the front-of-house team with wine, beverage, and pairing-related knowledge.
• Handle special requests and guest needs with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
• Contribute to team training on wines and wine service when required.
• Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and winery representatives.
• Participate in tastings, training sessions, and wine-related activities.
• Consistently apply The Ritz-Carlton Gold Standards and MB by Martín Berasategui service standards.

We are looking for a wine professional with a genuine passion for hospitality, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to continuous learning.

We particularly value:

• Genuine passion for wine, gastronomy, and fine dining.
• Formal training in Sommelier Studies, Oenology, Viticulture, Hospitality, or related fields.
• Strong knowledge of Spanish and international wines.
• Knowledge of wine regions, grape varieties, producers, and appellations.
• Knowledge of food and wine pairing.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey wine knowledge in an approachable and professional manner.
• The ability to understand individual guest preferences and provide personalized recommendations.
• Attention to detail, precision, and elegance in service.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and dynamic environment.
• A proactive, professional attitude and a strong commitment to continuous learning.
• Previous experience as a Sommelier in a fine-dining restaurant will be highly valued.
• Professional sommelier certifications will be considered an advantage.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Knowledge of additional languages will be considered an advantage.
• Valid work authorization in Spain.
