  I graduated from Oregon State University with a 4 year bachelor of science degree in food and fermentation science. The program focused on wine and beer production with a heavy focus on chemistry and laboratory work. I have a minor degree in chemistry and have taken countless laboratory classes during my time at university.

EXPERIENCE

  Although my title is Production Assistant, after working 4 years at this company I have taken on many cellar master/winemaker responsibilities. Working directly under the Associate Winemaker, I perform all the Laboratory work, write the work orders, manage the work flow in the cellar, and enter all data into the winemaker database program. I perform all tasks during harvest (sorting, pressing, racking, monitoring ferments, cap management, filtering, etc.) as well as prepare the wine for bottling and managing the bottling process. I work in all aspects of production and am always looking for new responsibilities and ways to challenge myself. I am a quick learner and hard worker who is motivated to make high end and high quality wines. Being in the wine industry has given me a strong attention to detail as well as a sense of pride in producing a wonderful product that people love.

PROJET PROFESSIONNEL

I have been working for a pioneering wine family in the Dundee Hills of Oregon for 4 years, specializing in chardonnay and small batch fermentations of Pinot Noir. I started at this winery as an intern after university and was quickly hired on full time as the production assistant. After 4 years with this company, I have realized it is time to continue my growth as a winemaker, expand my knowledge and take on new challenges.

CENTRE D'INTERETS

I have worked 2 harvests abroad at Villa Maria Estate in Marlborough New Zealand as well as the Winery of Good Hope in Stellenbosch South Africa. I unfortunately only speak English at the moment and am living in the United States. That being said, I am willing and eager to move for work and learn other languages if and when it is necessary.
