  I had the chance to do a Double Degree in Viticulture and Enology, in the Universidad de Cuyo (Mendoza, AR) and the University of Udine (Udine, IT).

EXPERIENCE

  Beringer Vineyards at Treasury Wine Estates

  Right now I’m assisting my boss, Winemaker Ryan Rech, on the production of the Beringer Luxury wines, as I manage a portion of the barrel toppings on site and continue working on some projects, such as the re-calibration of most of the tanks. I’m also giving monthly Enology classes to the cellar workers, in order to give them more independence when working, at the same time it helps increase the overall operational quality During harvest I: -Strengthened operational efficiency, focusing on the inoculations -Trained and supervised a team of 4-8 people handling inoculations -Identifed gaps and problems, and incorporated best practice processes, e.g. I changed a referment protocol and helped the cellar to work on it more independently -Cultivated an enthusiastic and productive environment to the Cellar and to the Enologist teams -Wrote and issued work orders in WIM (a databaste program), communicated with Wine Info as needed.

PROJET PROFESSIONNEL

So, I'm Melisa Agamennoni, from Argentina. However, during the last few years I've been travelling around to study and work in the wine industry: Italy, New Zeland, California, Chile, and my next stop is Germany for harvest 2017. I'm looking forward to keep learning from every experience, and enroll in the near future in a Graduate Program, in order to obtain a degree of specialization and deepen my knowledge, especially in Viticulture.

I have always liked interacting with other people, other cultures. I like the unknown and learning new things. When it comes to a group, I am usually the person who takes the lead. In general terms, I like to coordinate groups and organize activities. I’m passionate about leadership and everything that is related to it.
